Rancho Palos Verdes REACH Program Seeks Recreation Leader

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Rancho Palos Verdes is looking for a part-time Recreation Leader and Recreation Specialist for the REACH program, which serves the social and recreational needs of youths and young adults with developmental disabilities.

Applications are open and people can learn more about the positions and the program, along with interview tips during a Zoom information session on Sept. 16 at 5:30 p.m. PT. Join the meeting at bit.ly/3lLODen.

Candidates interested in applying for these positions are encouraged to attend. Participation is voluntary. The session will be recorded and will be available on the City website under the Recruitments section of the Human Resources page.

REACH is a program designed to help youth and young adults with developmental disabilities in Palos Verdes and the South Bay. The organization focuses on number of activities, including community access and assimilation, independent living, physical fitness and social interactivity. Before the pandemic, the group offered in-person trips, art and music therapy, camps, dances and other special events.
