The Acton Recreation Department will be opening a Remote Learning Enrichment Program at the Recreation Center mid-October. The Remote Learning Center is in the process of achieving a certification by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education as an Educational Enrichment Center. The Remote Learning Center provides an alternative environment during the hybrid school year with asynchronous learning and qualified child care. Our Remote Learning Enrichment Program combines supervised study with activities including arts and crafts, games, music, outdoor adventure and more! All safety protocols and guidelines are being followed with the two cohorts, blue and gold. The first semester is planned to start the week of October 12 concluding December 21 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (if school is closed, the center will be closed). This program is open to children who are enrolled in school from grades 1-6, ages 6-12. Each cohort is limited to 13 children.

There is a choice when registering which cohort you are part of in the ABRS system. The Blue Cohort will run Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and the Gold Cohort will run Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Registration is available online at actonrec.com.
